Dad just completed his second walk. Lots of pressure on his back and chest make it hard to stand up. The same walking procedure though, slowly and surely behind a wheelchair. This time, he walked a little farther outside of his sitting spot. Now he’s resting in his ICU room bed, upon his preference. He’s well bundled up after getting the chills. He wants to eat tonight, so we’ll see what he’s offered. Maybe mashed potato, something easy for him to eat. -Adam

Should get a room here tonight. Chills/shivvering are fine, probably came from being active and getting to walk. His vitals signs are excellent and he’s in great shape.
Great, I am sure that the walks wear him out. So glad that he is doing it though. I know that they will have something to eat that he will enjoy. Keep an eye on the chills – lets just hope that he is just cold. But make sure to advise the nurses and drs about this. Has his tempature been normal? Are they still planning to get him moved today to a “regular room”? Did he get the surprise from us?
I am so happy to hear that he is doing so well! You guys are doing a great job updating us. Please let me know if he wants any dvds, books or audio books and I will see what I can do. Give him a kiss from me!
Love,
Tracy
