Dad’s new heart valve is working great. Dr. Bibler just stopped by to talk with us and let us know that Dad is doing great. No bleeding or problems. He’s off the bypass machine and his heart is running his body. He is not on any heart medication, it is all his body and heart doing the work. Which is great.
Dr. Bibler said we should be able to see him in about an hour. He will look pale and a little puffy but all in all, good shape. After we see Dad, he will be in ICU and being monitored. Since the surgery has taken a little longer than planned, they should have him up to eat his first food during breakfast tomorrow. And also tomorrow they will have him walking around.
Stay tuned in for more. -Lauren, Adam & Tracie
Thank you so much for keeping me up to date. I never would have guessed that in a million years that Scott would need this type of surgery. Heck, it is me that does all the wrong things to my body. Being so far away during times like this stinks, but the fact that you guys have done such a great job of keeping me up to date, made it easier. Please let your dad know that I love him bunches and can’t wait to see you guys. Hopefully I can get home soon, it has been too long.
Awesome news. So glad he is doing well and really enjoyed being able to follow his progress with you all writing posts throughout the day!! We will keep up the prayers and keep watching for your news. I too think this is a great way to let everyone know how he is doing and I bet he will be VERY hungry by tomorrow…we will stay tuned for sure,
Susan
Thank you for all the updates. It is so hard to be so far away. I wish I could be there for all of you. I am thinking of you.
Love,
